EvermoistTM AGG-50G is an aqueous solution consisting of 2-O-α-D-glucosylglycerol (AGG). AGG is characterized by high thermo-stability, low Maillard reactivity, and high water-holding capacity. AGG has been found in some traditional Japanese foods such as sake, miso and mirin, brewed by using koji. EvermoistTM AGG-50G functions as an osmolyte to protect skin cells. Its special features include a) upregulating Aquaporin 3 and moisturizing; b) enhancing skin barrier function; c) increasing anti-oxidative ability by promoting SOD; d) increasing collagen synthesis by stimulating growth factor IGF-1; e) reducing uncomfortable skin symptoms by stimulating FGF-7 and TGF-β1.
